Online Interactive Guide to Dog-Friendly Cornwall Beaches

Below is a comprehensive list of virtually all of the Cornish beaches, arranged alphabetically by their Dog rules. There are 5 groups: Dogs welcome all year; Dogs not allowed Easter day to 1^st October all day; dogs not allowed Easter day to 1^st October 7AM to 7PM; dogs not allowed May through September 8AM to 7PM and, finally; dogs never allowed. There are about 113 beaches that allow dogs all year long and only a few with a year round ban.

The date and time differences for the seasonal bans are based on the local district councils' rules. The dog lovers must also understand that there are good reasons for disallowing dogs, such as working harbours, etc. Also some of us humans may not want to always be around doggies and that is OK too! So that is why all are included here.

The list’s second column has any special notes; a Google map reference link; UK Ordnance Survey map grid reference and the closest post code to be found. Plug the OS grid map reference code into OS Opendata Viewer or the Ordnance Survey Get-a-map sites or use with your paper OS maps to locate the beaches. Use the post codes for your GPS, to help you get there by car or other means.

Also please be a responsible dog owner and clean up after your dog(s).
