Englandsouthwest.com
was born of love--the love of a British man for his native land, and
the love of an American/Irish woman with British ancestry as well for
her ancestral homes. Amazingly, Englandsouthwest--mainly the
counties of Devon and Cornwall--are
as much like Ireland as it is possible for "not Ireland" to be.
The landscape is lovely, the people are charming, the air is fresh and
the cultural roots are, in large part, Celtic.
S.P. Tiley is a
photographer and computer professional; LH McBride is a journalist,
book author and former marketing director. They bring their
experience and their passions to this website.
Their
extra-professional passions include travel, food and wine, art and
architecture, gardening, history, literature and all things
cultural. The find all those in abundance in Englandsouthwest.
Their intention is to bring them to you, just as they find them on
frequent trips 'home.' From time to time, they will bring you, in
addition to their own photographic and literary products, tours and
other services, and very occasionally, other goods from Irish
handcrafts to Cornish pasties.
